This Privacy Policy explains how Daoini ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use the Daoini mobile app and website (the "Service"). Daoini lets patients find clinics and book medical appointments, and gives clinics tools to manage those appointments.

Information we collect

We collect the information you provide when you create an account and book appointments:

Account details: your full name, phone number, date of birth and gender.
Optional contact details: your email address, if you choose to add it.
Location preferences: the country and wilaya (region) you select to find nearby clinics.
Appointment details: the clinic you book with and the date and time of your appointment.

What we do not collect

We do not collect medical or diagnostic information from you through the patient app, and we do not access your device's camera, location, contacts or photos. Daoini does not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

How we use your information

To create and secure your account and sign you in.
To let you find clinics and request, view and manage appointments.
To share your booking details with the clinic you choose, so it can confirm your visit.
To contact you about your appointments and account.
To operate, maintain and improve the Service and to comply with legal obligations.

Sharing your information

We share your information only as needed to provide the Service:

With clinics you book with: the clinic receives the details needed to manage your appointment (such as your name, phone number, date of birth and gender).
With service providers that host and operate our infrastructure on our behalf, under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
Where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of users, the public or Daoini.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell your personal information.

How we store and protect your data

Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on secured servers. On your device, your session token and basic profile are kept in the operating system's encrypted secure storage. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.

Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, the personal data on your account is erased as described below.

Medical records created by clinics during your care are held by those clinics and may be retained by them to meet medical record-keeping and other legal obligations. Those records are kept separately from your Daoini login account.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account at any time:

In the app: open the Profile tab, tap "Delete account" and confirm.
On the web: visit daoini.com/delete-account and follow the instructions, or email support@daoini.com.

What deletion means

When you delete your account, we erase the personal data held on your login account (such as your name, phone number, date of birth and email) and you can no longer sign in. As noted above, medical records created by clinics are retained by those clinics as required by applicable health-record laws, detached from your account.

Children's privacy

The Service is intended for adults. A parent or legal guardian may use the Service to manage appointments on behalf of a minor in their care. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children for their own independent use.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update most details in the app under Profile, delete your account as described above, or contact us to exercise your rights.

International processing

Daoini operates from and processes data in Algeria and may use service providers located in other countries. Where data is transferred across borders, we take steps to keep it protected in line with this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated through the Service where appropriate.
